Go for lightweight and breathable fabrics, whether synthetic or natural fabrics like cotton and linen.
What does a UPF 50+ sun rating mean?
A UPF 50+ sun rating is the highest sun protection rating available. When a material is rated UPF 50+, it means only 1/50th or less of the sun's UV rays are able to pass through. So you can diminish the sun, but not the fun!
Do I still need to wear suncream with a sun hat?
Yes! Your sun hat is going to offer you a lot of protection from the sun, but we'd always recommend doubling up with suncream for maximum safety. For maximum protection, go for a sun hat with a wide brim and a neck cape, along with SPF 50+ suncream.
