Sun Hats

Sunday Afternoons began life in the eighties on the west coast of the USA. Now, our sun hats are shading adventure lovers all over the world, including right here in the UK. So whether you're after a wide brim hat, a cap, or ultimate coverage with the Adventure Hat, our hats have (literally!) got you covered. The right hat can be the difference between a day of squinting and overheating, and a day spent enjoying the sun in comfort. Our hats are designed to help you get outside more, and stay outside for longer.

What's a good hat to wear in the sun?

When it comes to protecting yourself in the sun, any sun hat is much better than none (poarticularly when they offer UPF 50+ sun protection, like all of ours do!). Cap styles will provide less coverage, as they only shade the face. For maximum protection, go for a wide brimmed style, either with a stiff brim or a floppy style, like a bucket hat. For extra neck protection, go for a style with a neck flap.

What does a UPF 50+ sun rating mean?

A UPF 50+ sun rating is the highest sun protection rating available. When a material is rated UPF 50+, it means only 1/50th or less of the sun's UV rays are able to pass through. So you can diminish the sun, but not the fun!

Do you have sun hats for kids?

Yes! We have high-protection options for the whole family, from newborn through to toddler, and beyond. Take a look at our range of kids sun hats, as well as men's sun hats and women's sun hats to narrow down your search.
